Efficient China Suppliers Horizontal Disc Dryer Factory for Energy-Saving Sludge Thermal Drying Technology
Applications
Features
The cylindrical body of the dryer is a jacket type structure, and the mixing shaft and disc are hollow with steam circulation, resulting in a very large heating area. The body can be miniaturized and the drying effect is good.
Due to the use of steam for indirect heating and the installation of a jacket on the outer wall, there is no significant amount of air carrying away heat, resulting in high steam utilization efficiency.
Steam does not come into contact with sludge, has a low amount of insoluble gas, can be incinerated in the furnace, and has minimal secondary pollution.
After being crushed and stirred, the sludge becomes uniform particles, which is conducive to further disposal (incineration, land use, building materials, etc.).
Low rotational speed, no tangential force between the rotor and sludge, resulting in minimal wear, low maintenance, long lifespan, and low power consumption, making it more suitable for domestic sludge.

Frequently Asked Questions
The disc dryer utilizes indirect heating. Sludge is heated and dried via thermal conduction through the steam-circulated jacket, hollow shaft, and hollow discs, rather than direct contact with hot air.
Since the heating process is indirect and the outer wall is fully jacketed, there is no large flow of exhaust air carrying heat away, resulting in minimal heat loss and high thermal efficiency.
No. Because steam does not contact the sludge directly, the volume of carrier gas and insoluble exhaust gas is extremely small. These gases can be easily collected and incinerated in the furnace to minimize environmental impact.
The low rotational speed eliminates major tangential forces between the rotor and the sludge. This significantly reduces mechanical wear, minimizes maintenance requirements, and extends the overall lifespan of the equipment.
The dried sludge is processed into uniform particles, making it highly suitable for secondary disposal and utilization, including incineration, land application, soil remediation, or as raw material for building products.
